Review of “The Secret Life of Bees”
“The Secret Life of Bees” has been in American theatres for a few months, and has also made its debut in the UK. If you read the novel you will want to go with an open mind to the film or find many disappointments. The movie lacks the power of the novel in many parts, making it a sentimental, feminist film, which bored most men with its release. The actors certainly gave their all in their performances, but it could do nothing to add dimension to the screenplay. For those who don’t mind a “chick flick” you will not be overly disappointed.
